Hey Im Tom | ex lead-guitarist of kiwi group Tahuna Breaks & The Phil Edwards Band - Settled into life in the beautiful BOP with my family, playing customised corporate, bar & wedding functions. Easy listening Acoustic, DJ sets or band options avlb.

I was lucky enough to come from a musical family and by the age of 14 had started learning the guitar and spent hours every night in my bedroom learning my favourite songs. I started playing acoustic covers in Rotorua before I left for university.

I completed an Audio Engineering Diploma from the School of Audio Engineering in Auckland in 2005, the same year I met Phil Edwards and together we created The Phil Edwards Band.

In 2006, I joined NZ's legendary funk, soul & reggae band Tahuna Breaks and spent the next 6 years working on 3 albums across both bands and touring throughout NZ and Australia.

I officially signed out from Tahuna Breaks in 2013 to venture overseas where I continued playing solo at bars in Canada.

My wife and I decided to return back to New Zealand with our son and call the Bay of Plenty home.

I'm available for bars / / cafe / restaurant gigs playing acoustic covers. I can provide sound systems for small intimate rooms to large outdoor areas or plug into the house system - whatever works for you.

I'm available for weddings or corporate functions playing acoustic covers (instrumental or with singing) and can DJ for the main reception, with additional musicians (horns, percussion) available on request. I can tailor the setlists to match the occasion and your tastes in music and even learn any particular song you want to hear.

I provide a high quality sound system and lighting if required.
