Gray Kirkbride has been part of the Auckland music scene for many years. He was frontman for covers band Contagious for twelve years, and was also in the duo Granduo with Andy, resident at both Deep Creek and Grand Central. Now Gray has the opportunity to indulge his life-long passion for Neil Young's music, playing acoustic guitar and harmonica, and dabbling in a bit of flute.
Andy Smith has been part of the NZ music scene for almost 20 years now. Holding a master's degree in jazz, he has been part of the Auckland covers band scene with groups such as Kick, Jukebox, and Brendon Chase as Elvis, plus original projects with his band The Late Pages. Andy strives to create an authentic Neil Young sound and feel, grappling with the difficulties of replicating a musician who only sounds like himself, and whose musical legitimacy is second to none.
