Shabang are a pure classic rock covers band. All the best songs from AC/DC to ZZTop and everything in between. If you like great classic rock with a great band who have fun on stage then look no further than SHABANG, The bays premier classic rock covers band.

The band features DENISE(THE VOICE) HYDE one of the best female singers in the bay, supported by Brendan on lead vocals and Adam on bv's. The combination of male and female lead vocals allows the band to cover a huge range of material.

The band has played at the 2013/2014 Westpac Business awards, and have been invited back for 2015.
The band and members of the band have played at the following wedding and function venues in the bay and surrounding areas.

BELLA VISTA LODGE, CHARLEMAGNE LODGE, OLIVE TREE COTTAGE, MILLS REEF WINERY.CHARTHOUSE RESTAURANT, SEBEL TRINITY, TAURANGA GAME & FISHING CLUB, MOUNT OCEAN SPORTS CLUB,FOUNTAIN GARDENS,BLUE BATHS(ROTORUA),TAUPO HILTON,WOODVILLE(HAMILTON).

The band also plays at the following pubs around the Bay.

Crown & Badger: Mount Mellick, Rose & Thistle: Pig & Whistle. Taupo Cozzie Club: Tokoroa Club.

New venues are being added all the time, just ask for our public dates if you want to see the band in action.

With many birthdays, weddings, private and corporate functions under their belt SHABANG are the ultimate party band.

A very easy band to work with, who's focus is to make your day one you will never forget.

The band is happy to learn any song if time allows for that special person or event. Mics can be used for speeches etc, and the 1st dance song for weddings can either be played by the band or through the sound system.

A very well priced band who will work with the clients if there are budget constraints.

Shabang now what a fantastic band to rock your party. They played at CT Club Rotorua on Saturday 31 July 2021 and everyone was dancing immediately. They engaged with the crowd, played music to suit and hardly stopped. Totally recommend and we will be getting them back for sure Thanks Denise Adam and the crew for a fabulous night. Thanks heaps for your efforts to make our celebrations so much fun!! The booze bill was heeeaaaps lower than I thought it would be cause almost everyone spent most of the night dancing. A bonus for me!! I was initially disappointed that we couldnt have the party at home as planned because of the Easter storms but it worked out great in the end and the old hall sure got rockin. With the late cancellation of our originally booked band then the change of venue I was beginning to think we were jinxed but you guys really made it a great night for all of us Thanks a lot!! We absolutely loved every minute of the music. The only time the dance floor was empty was during the break. All of our guests were singing your praises. We hired these guys for our wedding and they were absolutely awesome.They made the our night very special. They Started off nice and slow and as the night went on were able to read the crowd and rocked the roof off.Very friendly band and will go and see them when they play at the Tokoroa club in June. The 3rd Annual Kahawai World Cup was held last weekend. It was an incredible weekend with the major highlight on Saturday night being the appearance of Shabang. They were a great sound and related so well to the punters. They were able to pick their music to the mood and kept everyone entertained. They are a class act. If you are looking for a good band you wont be disappointed with this group. Thanks for an enjoyable night. Cheers Jim

Saw these guys at mates 50th and they were awesome. Hired them for my 40th and everybody just raved about them, they just made the party rock. Several others said if they need a band in the future it would definately be them.

Saw these guys at the Crown and Badger in town thought they where brilliant, so decided to hire them for my sons 21st, needless to say they are awesome!! really good sound, great singer(s) and an excellent array of music, couldn't have asked for better, definitely be following these guys!
