Richter City Rebels are a 9-piece band that incorporate a mixture of traditional New Orleans second line, RnB/Funk & Hip-Hop to bring you the ultimate Mardi Gras experience! Were a completely mobile band, we can march, stay in one place or both!
Party starting is our specialty so if you need a band to kick off the dance floor then we are it! We can bring to you a funky, high-energy performance that includes some of our own original material as well as pop covers with our own twist!
If youre tastes require something a little relaxed, we can also draw from our extensive traditional New Orleans jazz repertoire and provide a background set for your event.
Richter City Rebels regularly perform around Wellington at bars, events/festivals, birthday parties and private functions.
A diverse collective of musicians make up the Rebels, featuring players from groups such as the NZSO, The Rodger Fox Big-band, contemporary Jazz group The Jac, The Royal NZ Air Force Band, Myele Manzanza and the Eclectic, and hardcore band Saving Grace.
