We have played constantly since we started over 8 years ago. This has made us a very tight group musically, We have our own PA Equipment and Lighting, We also don't mind supplying deejay music between sets, We have played lots of bar gigs and private functions along with weddings, We have over 5 hours of music that we can play and we don't mind learning new material for client's special events.

We booked Koliwatt last minute for our work do in New Plymouth last year and they absolutely delivered! Super friendly, punctual and played right through the night. Everyone had an incredible time. Hands down one of the best work events weve had, thanks to the energy and vibe they brought. Would 100% recommend and definitely book again!

We have had to privilege of three live Kilowatt performances and they are fabulous. They played at my sisters wedding and they were the first thing I got organised for my own wedding on 31 December 2024; they had the dance floor rocking all night and did the NYE countdown for us; it was amazing! They were so accommodating and super easy to work with. More recently they played at our friends 40th; another great night dancing to excellent music. Kilowatt played at my 50th birthday party and absolutely rocked! They knew exactly what songs to play when to get everyone up on the floor. We had 15 year olds to 70 year olds absolutely having a ball all night. For weeks afterwards, the biggest comment I got about the party was how great the band were. I honestly could not be happier, they made the night the success that it was and I will definitely hire them again if I have another event.
They were also easy to deal with in the weeks leading up to night, and the set up and pack down were completely drama-free. 10/10 recommend.

Kilowatt gave us a full on rock concert last Saturday for a private birthday party at our farm. Thank you guys your music is awesome, we (I) danced all night and were truly entertained, I wish I could do this party over again it was so much fun.

If anyone is ever wanting to hire a band for ANY kind of function, we HIGHLY recommend Kilowatt!! They played at our wedding in Oakura and to say they were amazing just wouldnt do them any justice.. they were incredible!!
They have a huge range of music that caters to all ages and genres, provide absolutely everything you will need for a great night and are a great bunch of guys!!

Kilowatt played for us at our wedding at Peppers Parehua on the 18 August. These guys were FANTASTIC! They really made our wedding extra special and the guests were blown away with them. All the guests got up and danced, and my husband and I were on the dance floor all night! They played songs that catered for all ages and even learnt our first dance (unchained melody) and father daughter dance (stand by me) for us - and it was perfect. They were also very professional and polite, it was a pleasure to have them at our wedding. I will confidently recommend them to anyone looking for a band. Thankyou Kilowatt. :)

The guys played at my wedding at the Royal Wellington Gold Club on Saturday 2nd June 2018 and I couldn't have asked for a friendlier bunch of talented musicians. The set was tight, they were responsive to the crowd and even played across a few different genres and eras to ensure the everyone was constantly engaged. They even dressed up (all except the drummer haha) for the medieval/Game of Thrones theme! Was great to have you guys and would fully recommend to anyone who needs a band for their event. Brilliant job and thanks again for contributing in ensuring my special was perfect :)

We had the privilege of having Kilowatt play at our wedding in January 2018. What an amazing group!!! They absolutely rocked and had everyone up and dancing on out makeshift dance floor which was all outdoors. They played into the small hours of the morning. We didn't want them to leave!! All our guests were blown away with these guys as were we. They are amazing. Fantastic songs. real easy going group. Im definitely booking them again for our next big shindig ;) Ive recommend the band to everyone I know and please anyone else, if you're looking for entertainment, Kilowatt is the go to band. We had The Kilowatts band for our wedding January 2018 and they were fantastic! They played a perfect mix of songs and went the extra mile and learnt some personal picks to play on the night. Awesome atmosphere created with their music which got the crowd up and dancing. Would definitely recommend and having them play again! Thanks guys for an amazing night!

Awesome is an understatement. These fellas know how to get a party going. Thank you guys for making our wedding reception rock, I put these guys on the spot by getting them to play our first dance song, they had never played or rehearsed it before they pulled it off mean as. Kilowatt -One word FANTASTIC band. They played for our 65th combined birthday. Loved every minute of them playing for our party, everyone wanted more and more and lots of dancing - plenty of sore legs the next day from. We didn't want them to stop playing. Great selection of songs and suited the Young & Old. Cant wait to hear them again and looking for another celebration to have them back :-) :-)

We were fully entertained by Kilowatt at my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary. All our guests loved the party and a lot of the credit goes to the band who had us dancing and enjoying some great pop / rock n roll from a mixture of decades. Even my severely sleep deprived 4yo couldn't part the dance floor. Band members were approachable and very friendly. Many Thanks Kilowatt!

We had Kilowatt play at our wedding last week and they were awesome. They were easy to deal with, they travelled 1 1/2 hours north for us, they were right on time and even stayed an extra hour at the end of the night as we weren't finished dancing! We think they sound way better live than they do online on their video!

Kilowatt performed for us at the Junior Ranks Bar in Trentham Camp and they are such a great bunch of guys!!
They were really flexible and synced their music with the theme and the people, and despite not having a big turnout, they still put in their best effort for us and produced an awesome sound! Everyone loved them as they are really easy-going and friendly - which meant they had a lot of people approaching them with their song requests! Highly recommended!

Kilowatt recently played at our hospital ball in Palmerston North and they were amazing! I have honestly never seen so many people on the dance floor at one of our events. Their range of music suited all tastes, and they even learnt wagon wheel especially for us for the night!! They were professional and extremely easy to deal with. If you want a band that is full of energy, plays a wide range of music and gets everyone up to dance then this is the band you must have
They also go the extra mile and learn new songs that are not on their play list

Kilowatt played at my daughters wedding under fairly difficult conditions weather-wise but nothing was too hard for them.
Their range of music was appreciated by everyone both young and old.
