Hipstamatics are a party band with a difference. We reinterpret classic, well known tunes into a seriously authentic funk/ soul style akin to the likes of James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Sly and the Family Stone and others.
Hipstamatics are now a household name in the live music community in New Zealand. The 10piece line up has gone through many changes over the years but has slowly built up itsstellar crew with an incredible feat of credentials to back their amazing talents. The bands style and musicality takes from classic 70s and other funk fusion elements of today. In the last year Hipstamatics have been focusing their efforts on creating original music with the distinct flavor that makes the Hipstamatics sound that it is today.
