Ben England

Ben England is a solo acoustic musician based in Wellington, New Zealand. His repertoire includes favourites from artists such as Tom Petty, Creedence Clearwater Revival, U2 and Amy Winehouse.

Ben performs as a solo musician, taking familiar songs and stripping them back to their essentials. His style sits somewhere between acoustic rock and engaging background music with a particular fondness for recreating songs you wouldn't normally expect to hear acoustically.

His repertoire moves comfortably from Tom Petty, U2 and Creedence Clearwater Revival through to Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Lenny Kravitz and Amy Winehouse. Alongside the familiar favourites are the occasional original song, plus unexpected acoustic interpretations of heavier material from artists such as AC/DC, Motorhead, The Offspring and Blink-182.

Ben's approach is deliberately easy: simple guitar, distinctive vocals and acoustic versions of familiar songs.

His simple setup means he can perform almost anywhere a bar, private gathering, wedding or larger event. He can keep things quieter when the occasion calls for it, or let some real energy out when called upon!
