“ Rob and Jen played to a group of about 70 friends and family for my 50th. The theme was 1970s. They made the night with their enthusiasm, fabulous voices, music selection and outfits. It was a really fun night. Totally memorable and a trip down memory lane. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for something different or ‘Something Else for your celebration.”

We hired "Something Else" for our wedding in March and they really were something else. As a duo Jenny and Rob rocked the place and gave us and our guests a night to remember. From the point of contact they were professional in every aspect of the undertaking. They listened to what we wanted, made suggestions where needed, visited the venue prior and maintained a line of open communication throughout thus ensuring everything ran smoothly on the night. If your looking for a band for your special event then these guys are the ones! Jimmy and Cherill

We were lucky enough to catch Rob and Jen playing an intimate performance at a friends place a year before our wedding and pretty much booked them on the spot. They were perfect for our wedding. They have such a great dynamic and some lovely banter. And they were very accommodating in putting together a play list that we were after. They were able to offer an extensive repertoire, and even went so far as to play some Irish music that catered for the large Celtic contingent present. Their voices work beautifully together and they really compliment each other as a duo. I highly recommend ‘Something Else and would jump at the chance to use them again. That was some of the biggest feedback that we received about the wedding, that the musical entertainment was some of the best our guests had experienced. Thanks again for being so awesome!! Rob and Jen played at our wedding two weeks ago. From the start they could not have been more helpful. They responded quickly to our emails, even when on holiday in Europe, and arranged a meeting on their return. They had wonderful suggestions for our first song and provided an extensive playlist. At the same time they were more than happy to accommodate some individual requests. In every respect they were thoroughly professional. Most importantly they got our guests ( young and not so young) up and dancing. We were thrilled with the music they played and as one guest remarked, they were " totally awesome all night". We loved their humour and enthusiasm and recommend them highly.

We would like to thank Rob & Jen for playing at our wedding held at Terrace Downs Golf Resort January 2014. It was an amazing day, matched perfectly with the amazing duo Rob & Jen are together to produce the fantastic music they do. To have people dancing non-stop for the duration of the reception says it in itself. Thanks heaps guys had a great day/night and had many friends and family comment on how great the music/entertainment was. Would recommend you both any day and have since.

Jen and Rob made our 50th anniversary celebration a wonderful occasion They consulted with us and added our favourites to the occasion Guests from 3 to 91 had a great evening at the Commodore Hotel , Christchurch. Many from overseas. Thank you Jen and Rob for making it an evening to remember for our family and friends. The appreciations from so many guests who said the music dancing "which we couldn't afford way back then" as promised took us all back to the good days. This means we made the right choice in choosing 'Something Else' for our very special occasion. Would recommend this great duo to any family occasion. They are so versatile I am sure they will suit all occasions. Once again Thank you Heather and Pat Cowie

Last year I made the decision to add some music to my Xmas function for all my clients – I went with Jen and Rob Ferris who performed fantastically well - all my clients mentioned how it was such a great night and I had no hesitation in asking them to perform again at his years function. Thanks.

‘Something Else have been playing at the Orton Bradley Park Spring Fair for several years. They play a fantastic mix of music through the hot afternoon and the crowds really enjoy it. Rob and Jen are great musicians and are able to adjust the music to the needs of the event and mood of the audience. They have people dancing and tapping their toes throughout their slot. I thoroughly recommend "Something Else" for any event. Event organiser Orton Bradley Park Spring Fair

“We had Something Else as our band for our 70th birthdays (after first hearing them at our sons wedding) – and what a night we had (Rex and I danced our feet off!!) – the music spanned all age groups and certainly made our night something to remember. All our guests commented on the wonderful evening they had and the band certainly was a major part of that. Thank You!!

My husband & I recently celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary & Rob & Jen provided the entertainment for us & about 120 family and friends. It was a fantastic evening and Rob & Jen were just great, playing continuously and only taking the minimum of breaks. Their choice of songs was terrific, suited to all ages, and everybody had a great time with lots of dancing and singing. We would recommend them for any function as their range of songs is very large and they can adapt to any age group. Thanks Rob & Jen for making our celebration so enjoyable. Rob and Jen played at Charls 50th birthday. The theme was 60s music and dress. They rocked our world! Everyone was up dancing from the start. They played far longer than we had asked and their repertoire was amazing. - more than 50 sixties songs. We had such a fantastic evening thanks to them. Thanks so much guys. Cant wait till the next occasion!

Rob and Jen from ‘Something Else entertained our team at our Christmas party in December 2012 and did an amazing job. Three hours of non-stop music and fun! The music was a good mix, well done, and as we had a beach party theme, Rob and Jen suggested some beach tunes, which got the party rolling. They were happy to take spur of the moment requests and even suggested specific songs for individuals. It was a fabulous night, there were so many compliments the Monday after and of course the people who missed out wished we could do it all over again! Thanks Rob and Jen, you guys are awesome and put on a terrific show! Wed be happy to have you back.

"We had Something Else perform at our wedding reception and Rob and Jen were just amazing. We had our first meeting over a few cocktails and talked about what we wanted and they also had lots of great ideas to help us. On the night they read the crowd perfectly, there was always action on the dance floor and everybody raved about what a great night it was".

This duo set is absolutely awesome. They played at a 60th and everyone was transfixed with their choice of music. Really fantastic and we would totally, absolutely recommend them for any function.

Robin and Jenny of "Something Else" are not only great musicians but their interaction with the audience was exceptional. From playing requests from the guests to keeping the dance floor packed all night and catering to all age groups make theirs a unique act. They performed at my sons 21st and also at a wedding which I was MC at and on both occasions made the celebration a memorable one. Book them and make your night a special one.

We had Rob and Jen “Something Else” band play at our wedding held at Fyffe Country Lodge in Kaikoura March 2011 with 100 guests. It was nice having a Guy/Girl Duo and they covered everybodys taste in music. Our dance floor always had people up dancing. They are very enjoyable to listen too and easy to deal with. “Something Else” made our wedding very memorable. We are 100% pleased we chose them.
Kaylene Sowden
What a fantastic Duo, everything we had hoped for. Rob & Jen had the place rocking at our wedding with all 100 guests up dancing. Great music selection and sound. A definite must for any wedding or event.
Chris & Hannah Hughes
Regarding Then-agen (now something else), Robin and Jenny have been playing at a function my wife & I hold every October for the last six years, it is a Beer Fest with a different format each time and they make the evening very special, fitting in wit ha huge variety of music for all ages and as a friend of mine said it is not a party anymore but an event - and I would have to say without their input it would be just a party. Rob and Jenny have a very professional approach and will fit in with the way you want your function run, or as they have with us, make some suggestions to make things easy for you.
